Francisco Javier Rodríguez-Santos
He graduated in History from the University of La Laguna (2014), and obtained a Master’s degree in Prehistory and Archaeology from the University of Cantabria (2015). He has been a pre-doctoral researcher hired by the University of Cantabria, developing his research work at the International Institute of Prehistoric Research of Cantabria (IIIPC). His lines of research are focused on the study of the first peasant societies in the South of the Iberian Peninsula (from the middle of the VIº to the middle of the IIIº millennium B.C.). Specifically, their studies focus on prehistoric technology and craftsmanship linked to bone tools (functional analysis and experimental archaeology). In a complementary way, he develops studies related to the archaeology of death and archaeotanatology.
