The history of the Tokaj wine region in Hungary goes back for more than a thousand years. The ideal environmental conditions and the human activity that utilizes them have created a unique wine culture in this landscape.

Within this presentation, I will try to highlight some of the most important moments in the history of Tokaj wine, focusing on when it was involved in international trade. Of course, the demonstration of the circumstances about the birth of Tokaji Aszú, perhaps the most well-known Tokaj wine specialty worldwide, cannot be left out of the presentation.

Finally, I will briefly describe the Tokaj World Heritage Wine Museum, which, in addition to the Tokaj wine region, presents nine other European World Heritage wine regions and welcomes visitors from abroad and from Hungary with great affection.

La historia de la región vinícola húngara de Tokaj se remonta a hace más de mil años. Las condiciones medioambientales ideales y la actividad humana que las aprovecha han creado una cultura vinícola única en este paisaje.

En esta presentación, intentaré destacar algunos de los momentos más importantes de la historia del vino de Tokaj, centrándome en la época en que participó en el comercio internacional. Por supuesto, no puede faltar en la presentación la demostración de las circunstancias sobre el nacimiento del Tokaji Aszú, quizás la especialidad vinícola de Tokaj más conocida en todo el mundo.

Por último, describiré brevemente el Museo del Vino del Patrimonio Mundial de Tokaj, que, además de la región vinícola de Tokaj, presenta otras nueve regiones vinícolas europeas del Patrimonio Mundial y acoge con gran afecto a visitantes extranjeros y húngaros.
