Biography

Vedrana Krištofić is currently working on her PhD project at the Institute for Archaeological Sciences, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. She obtained her master’s degree in prehistoric archaeology at the University of Zagreb in 2014 and has been since focusing her research on faunal remains from prehistoric periods of Neolithic and Copper Age in SE Europe.

Her PhD project focuses on studying changes in patterns of animal exploitation and reconstruction of different subsistence strategies employed by Neolithic communities on the territory of today’s eastern Croatia. 

Her research interests also include studies of osseous raw materials and technology and she has published several papers about worked osseous assemblages from Neolithic and Copper Age sites in Croatia and Serbia.
