Biography

Assistant Professor at the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology, Ancient History, Greek and Latin Philology and researcher at the University Institute for Research in Archaeology and Historical Heritage (INAPH) of the University of Alicante. 

Her main lines of research focus on symbolic objects and manifestations -personal ornaments and rock art- in the Mediterranean area of the Iberian Peninsula, especially in recent prehistory, but also on symbolic and cognitive aspects of the oldest prehistory. She has participated in numerous archaeological excavations and research projects, highlighting the leading or co-leading work in the archaeological projects carried out in the prehistoric settlements of Cabezo Redondo, El Negret or Cerro del Rocín (Alicante) and in rock art sites in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia. Likewise, she has been a member of the research team of several national and international competitive projects.
